[Financial Times, WaPo] Global terror attacks are up 25%, number of victims up 40% according to the State Department report on terrorism. Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria listed as state sponsors of terrorism.

[CSMonitor, NYT, WaPo] British jury finds 5 men guilty in foiled London plot to detonate fertilizer bombs. Reports indicates MI5 had two of the 7/7 bombers in their sights prior to the attack.

[Haaretz, YNet, CSMonitor, NYT] Report decries Olmert’s “severe failures” in Israel’s botched war against Hezbollah. Calls for Olmert’s resignation mount over Winograd Commission findings.

[Haaretz] Hezbollah agrees with Winograd Commission findings - “Hezbollah was victorious…Israel is beatable.”

[WaPo] Green Zone shelled, no casualties reported.
